AMADC would like to recognize Jeffrey Adler, Chair of the AMADC Market Research Special Interest Group, for November 2011’s Volunteer Spotlight.
We are so proud to highlight one of AMADC’s most valued members and volunteers, Jeffrey Adler, who currently heads one of AMADC’s Special Interest Groups for Market Research.
Jeff Adler first volunteered for the AMA while at The Wharton School in the early 1980s. He became his collegiate chapter’s Membership Committee Co-chair, and grew the chapter from under 100 members to over 200 members in less than a year. Jeff has held a variety of positions in the Metropolitan Washington Professional Chapter of the American Marketing Association including Assistant Vice President, Speaker Recruitment and Chairman, Annual Marketing Research Program & Trade Show. He has served as the Chair of the Chapter’s Market Research Special Interest Group for many years. At the national level, Mr. Adler is a faculty member of AMA’s Market Research Boot Camp™.
Jeff is a Past President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Marketing Research Association, and founded the Chapter’s Job Bank. He also served on the Association’s National Business Services Work Group. Jeff served as the first Membership Director of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group, and continues to serve on the PMRG Membership Committee. Jeff was the first member inducted into PMRG’s Circle of Excellence.
Jeff received his B.S.E. in Marketing and Decision Sciences from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His professional experience includes over twenty-five years in various research and consulting assignments. Jeff’s expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods is applied to such areas as product testing, new product development and positioning, customer satisfaction studies, and advertising research. Jeff is skilled in all areas of survey research, including study design, questionnaire development, and analysis. Jeff has personally supervised well over 1,000 studies, and has analyzed results from hundreds more.
Prior to purchasing Centrac DC, Jeff was Vice President of Woelfel Research, Inc., which was listed as one of Advertising Age’s “Top 100” largest marketing research companies. Jeff’s previous experience also includes positions as Supervisor, Market Research for Procter & Gamble, and Senior Product Manager and Statewide Marketing Officer for Florida National Bank. Mr. Adler has worked across many categories, including: Medical and Surgical products, Beauty Care, Foods, Power Tools, Dental Supplies, Utilities, Gasoline Stations, Automotive Products, Industrial Products, Household Products, Lodging, Telecommunications, Retail Stores, Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutical Publications, Mail Order Catalogs, Magazine Publishing, and Financial Services.
Jeff became one of the first few individuals to receive Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) at the Expert level from the Marketing Research Association. AMA is a PRC partner. The PRC certifies an individual is proficient in current research practices related to his or her job category, and signifies that the individual has met a stringent set of criteria and possesses the knowledge and practical experience in marketing research necessary to earn this esteemed credential.
Jeff is married, has a son in high school, and another son in middle school.
