Do Something Great

At AMADC, we’re all about improving your career prospects- pandemic or not. We strive to offer easy-to-use tools and resources to help you find your next opportunity or advance where you are. That’s why we’ve partnered with YM Careers, an industry-leading career platform provider, to make our Career Center a versatile one-stop resource. It’s open to both members and non-members.

In addition to the usual personal profile, job alerts and company directory features, you’ll find a robust resource section in our Career Center. View career advice on resumes, interviewing, career advancement and more by just dropping in.

Get Data, Insights About Marketing and Related Roles

You’ll also find the Career Insights module in our Career Center, which pulls directly from information compiled by the U.S. Department of Labor. This is the perfect resource to gain insights on different sorts of jobs and guide you to make more strategic decisions. For example, what might be the differences in salary for a meeting planner versus a marketing manager? Which role has a brighter employment outlook?

Some of the data and insights found in Career Insights include:

  • Job outlook and future projected employment
  • Average annual wages
  • Usual daily activities
  • Average education obtained
  • “Day in the Life” videos

You can use Career Insights information to help you make decisions about specific roles, whether to seek additional education and the appropriate salary ranges to negotiate. If you find only 23% of workers in market research have a master’s degree, you’ll want to explore whether a degree will really take you further.

How to Access Career Insights

Again, this information is available to both members and non-members. Follow the path below from the amadc.org home page or select the “Plan Your Career” button in the black bar underneath job listings.  *Be sure to select the job category name from the dropdown menu rather than type it in.

AMADC Home > Career Center > Job Seeker > Career Planning

“Our goal is to take the online career center beyond job postings to bring a wealth of career advancement opportunities in reach for members,” remarked Patrick King, President, AMADC, about the recent launch of the new Career Center.

So, the next time you’re considering a change, be sure to visit Career Insights. Explore careers and prepare for your next move.
