Meet Shawn McGhee

Admissions Officer, Westwood College

As an Admissions Officer for Westwood College, Shawn McGhee enjoys making an impact by helping to match prospective clients with their academic and career goals. This in turn, is also why Shawn joined AMADC two years ago, as he viewed the association as a way to further connect with the D.C. marketers that strive to strengthen the industry. “I became aware of AMADC through a former college professor that worked in the White House,” Shawn says. “With 75% of AMADC’s member base consisting of senior level marketers, I know that I can gain valuable insights that I could not gain elsewhere and connect with industry peers. The professionals in this network are not out of reach.”

As a student at Strayer University, Shawn is currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing. In his spare time, Shawn enjoys furthering the causes for a variety of organizations such as Dream For Purpose, in which he serves as a Director of Marketing, and a NGO Beats Rhymes and Relief, as a Secretary of Accounting & Reporting.
