It’s all about the experience. But the question is, are you providing your customers an exceptional experience? And what are people saying about your brand when you’re not around?

I think we can all name brands that have failed in the customer experience department. In fact, bad experiences tend to stick out more than the positives. At the same time, we can all think of brands that got it right when dealing with their customers, from their generous returns policy (I’m notorious of returning things 6 months after purchase), to the way they meet your needs before you even realize it’s a need.

Ultimately without customers you’re out of business. As John Goodman stated, “It costs five times as much to win a new customer as to keep the current one.”

In his latest book, Goodman provides firsthand guidance on what works (the need to provide a seamless experience) and what doesn’t (a disjointed experience). He highlights that the key to success is leveraging technology since now consumers are always connected. No one wants to go out of business.

With that in mind, our next AMADC event satisfies everyone: it’s part networking and part education. Together we’re going to dive into the world of customer experience with John Goodman, author of Customer Experience 3.0: High-Profit Strategies in the Age of Techno Service. You’ll leave this event with new skills to take back to your organization and ideas on how to best leverage technology to take your customer experience to the next level.

Overall, here’s how your night will go:

  • You take the metro to Metro Center and hop in a complimentary pedicab to arrive at the Loft at 600F in style
(trust me, it’s worth getting off at Metro Center versus Gallery Place)
  • You arrive at the Loft at 600F and grab a snack and beverage while you mingle and hand out copious amounts of business cards
  • When you’re all settled in next to your new friends, you’ll hear customer experience guru John Goodman speak (goal: learn skills to become a customer experience guru)
  • After the presentation, you’ll celebrate AMADC’s year-end with more networking and a DJ (for those that like to cut a rug)

The whole shebang will take place from 6:30-10:00pm on June 30th, and is sponsored by Bates Creative(be sure and say “Hi,” at the event). FOMO is a real thing – so don’t miss out on this unique mash-up event.

(But don’t just take it from us, hear it directly from John Goodman.)
