It’s October, the fall TV season is in full swing, the upcoming presidential campaigns continue to heat up, DC is bustling, and there is intense competition for your primetime attention.
At each AMADC event I attend, I am reminded how lucky I am to be surrounded by such incredibly talented and interesting professionals. We know that each of these individuals is taking time out of his or her busy schedule to be inspired, to network, and to learn. We are honored to have your time and your attention, and we are determined to make sure that every interaction is worthwhile.
We are an association of over 800 members from 400 different organizations that span the corporate, media, government, association, and nonprofit sectors. Our volunteer-driven organization serves as a gateway for connecting marketers across industries.
Connecting people is something that we take pride in. This October, we are thrilled to launch our 2016 Mentor Program. The goal of the Program is to nurture relationships between junior and senior-level executives in the DC marketing community – marketers helping marketers. I look forward to reporting back over the next nine months as our mentors and protégés work together to inspire and learn from each other and go on to do great things.
This month, we are also excited to highlight a local business – Atlas Brew Works – in our Oktoberfest themed How To Lunch and Networker. At the How To Lunch, using Atlas Brew Works as a case study, Bates Creative will show us how to craft our brand’s message and identity so that it stands out in the marketplace, and how to cohesively tell our brand’s story across all channels. Later that evening we will host our monthly networking event in conjunction with District Current where we will celebrate fall together over locally brewed craft beers and German Oktoberfest themed fare.
If you haven’t had a chance to check it out already, the blog section of our website is up and running. The AMADC blog is your source for relevant, actionable, and provocative content. Looking for a way to get your voice heard? We’re looking for dedicated writers to join our team! Email blog@amadc.org for more information.
Thank you for including AMADC in your busy schedule and for giving us a piece of your primetime attention!
Happy October,
Regan Lamb
