Campaign Conversations: Introducing AMADC’s Member Acquisition Campaign
AMADC is the premier community for marketers in the DC region. As a chapter of the American Marketing Association, members turn to AMADC to connect, learn, stay relevant, and add value to their organizations.
“We come together with other creatives, industry associations, local organizations, and businesses to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
Our purpose is to take a leading role in driving marketing practice, to make the DMV more attractive to marketing talent, and to make it a “go to” for employers and others looking for cutting-edge marketing help.
We are your community.”
AMADC represents much more than an educational hub. It’s a valuable organization for marketers who do not necessarily have internal marketing resources at their jobs – or can supplement and expand their knowledge and professional network. Celebrating its 90th year, it’s the largest network of professional marketers in the DC area. It inspires the next generation of marketers to think bigger, innovate faster, and give back to the community.
However, as the competitive landscape for AMADC thickens, member acquisition has become a challenge, and the organization needed a highly concentrated marketing campaign to directly target DC marketing professionals.
As a long-time partner of AMADC, Beyond Definition was tapped to execute a digital-focused member acquisition campaign. Our collective goal was to strengthen the perception of AMADC amongst local brands, corporations, and influencers. This would attract more diverse groups of professional marketers to the organization, while also creating new interest in volunteering and leadership roles.
Over the next month, we will be releasing a three-part series covering this project, partnership, and the campaign results. Hopefully, you will learn some actionable insights that can be applied to your own marketing efforts.
Next up, we’ll be discussing how the messaging and creative for the campaign was developed. In the meantime, checkout the campaign landing page and learn more about the American Marketing Association’s DC chapter.
