Capitol Communicator celebrated two milestones this past month:

First, it was a decade ago that the first what-has-become Capitol Communicator was launched (formerly D.C. Communicator). In recognition of this milestone, Capitol Communicator launched a new website, captiolcommunicator.com, which is expected to serve advertising, marketing, digital design and public relations communicators well into the future.

When it began ten years ago, the D.C. Communicator was just a monthly email newsletter. About six years ago, Capitol Communicator was formed with encouragement and support from a number of area communicators. It has since grown to be regarded as the mid-Atlantic’s voice for what’s happening now in communications – and what is yet to come. Its robust collection of still photos and recent addition of a series of “up close and personal” profiles featuring communicators in the mid-Atlantic are generating a lot of attention in the community, having been viewed more than 1.5 million times. Capitol Communicator has also brought the mid-Atlantic’s communications community closer together with events, such as the annual Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit and the Convergence in Communications Conference which, together, have attracted thousands of communicators.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with Capitol Communicator,” said Eileen Bramlet, president of the AMADC. “AMADC exists to help marketing and communications professionals Get Ahead and, with the support of forward-thinking organizations like Capitol Communicator, we’re able to keep our commitment. Capitol Communicator, along with its expanded digital platforms, offers fresh ways to keep us informed of the latest local events and provides critical insights into the future of communications. Combined, our renewed partnership means that our members benefit from additional tools, resources and events to help them stay current and relevant in today’s fast-paced environment.”

“We are very pleased to be in partnership with AMADC. The organization plays a very important role in serving the educational needs of marketing professionals in the greater Washington, D.C. region. Capitol Communicator is impressed with the association’s leadership and programming and encourages marketing professionals to engage with this vibrant group,” said Paul Duning, publisher and co-founder of Capitol Communicator.
