Jennifer is serving as President of the DC Chapter. Previously, she served as VP Chapter Development where she created a new sponsorship program and was instrumental in raising AMA-DC's visibility and value to potential donors and helped to create the successful Executive Marketing Roundtable series. Prior to this, Jennifer was VP Internal Communications and, with two dynamic directors, created AMA-DC's first executive level mentor program. Jennifer has over 14 years experience in strategic marketing and sales operations. Currently, she is Managing Director, Mid-Cap, for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she oversees the U.S. Chamber's Mid-Cap Membership operation.
As President, Pat successfully expanded the Chapter's reach in many strategic areas: launching the chapter's 75th anniversary logo, elevating programs to board positions, forming relationships with organizations such as the Word of Mouth Marketing Association and CRM Certification Seminars to expand member benefits, co-chairing the Mid-Atlantic Chapters Retreat and steering the process that resulted in the chapter's top volunteer selected as AMA International Volunteer of the Year for 2007. Pat is a member of the AMA Nonprofit Conference planning team. Her previous board positions include President Elect, Public Relations and Membership. Pat is founder of Lovenhart Research & Consulting, a marketing research firm, a focus group moderator, and has taught at Johns Hopkins and American Universities. Her blog on amplifiernetwork.com focuses on marketing and media for high tech venture capital initiatives. Lovenhart conducted research for AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Hart Research and holds an MBA in marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Nicki serves as the Co-VP of Programming. With more than nine years of experience, she capitalizes her skills in marketing, communications and organizational strategy to create exciting events for the chapter. Nicki specializes in strategic communications, customer relationship management and interactive marketing for Booz Allen Hamilton clients. Her favorite projects from over the years include: creating an award-winning wireless marketing plan, advising teams on social media strategies, negotiating license agreements for a German subsidiary in Asia, creating a go-to market strategy for an international client, and conducting MBTI sessions. She received her B.A. from Colgate University, and is certified in CRM, Social Media 2.0, Public Participation and MBTI.
Melanie will concentrate on creating excellent networking events that create a "buzz" about AMA-DC. She has served as VP of Membership and VP of Programming for the 2005-2006 planning the chapter's Inside Track programs. She was previously the VP of Regional Conference, helping to plan the 2nd Annual Mid-Atlantic AMA Conference. Holt has been an active volunteer for AMA-DC for the past four years and is Marketing Manager at Group Logic, with over seven years of experience in marketing for technology companies. Holt received a B.A. in Communications from George Mason University.

Taking on the new role of VP Research, Len will conduct an annual membership survey as well as find new ways to continuously collect data from current prospective members. Len was previously VP Finance and has served as Chair of the Market Research SIG for four years, provides attendee feedback on chapter events, and previously chaired the Health Care Committee. He has been instrumental this year in setting up numerous, well-attended SIG events. Len founded Rickman Research & Communications in 1994 and specializes in surveys, focus groups, interviews, and usability tests for multiple industries, services, issues, and products. He is also treasurer for QRCA-DC and PTA President at Oakland Terrace, the second largest public elementary school in Montgomery County, MD.
