Bill Bailey, Assistant Director of Digital Media, The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy
Bill Bailey is the Assistant Director of Digital Media at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. Prior to this position he served as the Director of Nonprofit Partnerships at Distributive Networks where he launched dozens of mobile marketing, mobile giving and advocacy campaigns for leading nonprofits and agencies. Additional experience includes work with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation; nearly a decade as a restaurateur; and several years performing juggling at festivals throughout the south. Bill holds a B.A. in Spanish Language from the University of Maryland and lives in the LeDroit Park neighborhood of DC with his partner Giles and their cat Widget.

This How To session covers the fundamentals of developing, deploying and promoting a Smartphone application for your organization. The workshop will begin with a discussion about mobile strategy; good applications versus bad applications; the right devices for your audience and budget; integration of rich interactive features; and how to choose your developer. The session will end with what other organizations are doing and learn a few lessons from their successes and failures and apply those to your future projects. Marketing strategies will wrap up the course. Bring your cell phone!
